2019 Valley Forge College Football Team Wins Season Opener 25-21

The 2019 Valley Forge Trojans football team began this year's campaign with a 25-21 home victory over Fork Union Military Academy. 

The offense was the led by sophomore running back CJ Preston, who rushed for 77 yards on the ground and 31 yards receiving. Exciting freshman Ke'Sean Glover contributed as a running back, wide receiver, kick and punt returner. Sophomore receivers Collin Callahan and Jordan Haynes led the way with 7 receptions. 

The defense was swarming as the tallied 10.5 sacks on the day. The return of injured linebacker Demetrius Hudson led the way with 2 ½ sacks. Fellow linebacker Antwan Spencer, lead the team with 9 tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack. Up front Sophomore Defensive Linemen Carlos Martinez, Seth Lindsey and Solomon Alexander controlled the Fork Union running game. 

Ke'Sean Glover (FR.)  was named the Offensive Player of the Game. Seth Lindsey (SO.) was named the Defensive Player of the Game and Malik Green (FR.) was selected as the Special Teams Player of the Game. 

The Trojans travel to Glassboro NJ on Sunday September 8 for a 2:00 pm show down with the Profs of Rowan University.
